Supper with siblings.......

This week we had our brother Lloyd and his wife Betty from Ft. St. John come for a visit and last night we got together for supper in Okotoks. How fun it is to share together, reminice and laugh at some of the crazy things we did as kids on the farm.

I am the youngest in this family and I love hearing the stories that they tell of their childhood, trips they have been on and places they have seen

Lloyd and Betty came over for lunch today and it was fun getting caught up on what their kids and their families are doing these days and where they live.

Family is a blessing.

Road trip with Larry and Irene......

Last week Jim and I had a week of vacation so we flew to Colorado and did a road trip with Larry and Irene through 6 states, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. It was amazing the scenery we seen along the way besides having a blast with Larry and Irene.....lots of laughs and sharing times in the confines of the car and hotel rooms. This year was our 40th wedding anniversary and next year is their's so we celebrated together. Besides that we got to see family in California, Gwen and Bob and Ken and Donna. It was wonderful. Again and again as we travelled, we would exclaim how glorious God's Creation is and even though there are negatives in our countries right now and have been, what blessings we can enjoy. God is good and we thank Him for allowing us this time of refreshment.

Celebrating with Grace LB church.....25 years......

This past weekend was a special time for Grace LB church in Okotoks. They celebrated their 25th year of ministry in the community and these four men in the first picture were there right from the very beginning......Ed Sager, Pastor Art, Pastor Harold and Ron Olson.

Movie Night at Midnapore Lake.....

Last Friday night was Movie Night at Midnapore Lake. It was a beautiful evening and Heather and Duane and kids came in for it. Barbeque at 5:00 P.M., they had games, a bouncy house, a hula hoop contest, a magician and then the movie "Wall E" at 8:15 P.M.
It reminded me of Movie Night in Hawaii and I mentioned it to the girl at the lake and she said that is where she got the idea from.

The sunset was beautiful, the movie was O.K. (would not rent it) but it was a great way to get the community together and the kids had so much fun with the games and contests.

Special event happened......

It happened at 10:56 A.M. on a Sunday morning, September 17th. A little girl weighing in at 10 # 5oz. joined our family. Her big sister, Heather was happy to have a little playmate and we were excited to have another little girl. Her name Susanne Michelle. We thanked God for a safe arrival and a beautiful healthy baby. What a miracle!!! And now we have seen 5 little miracles born to this child of ours and her handsome hubby.......

WE ARE SO BLESSED.
