It was a beautiful day out in the mountains. Larry, Irene, Julene, Stephan, Jim and I packed a picnic lunch and drove out to Cat Creek via Highway 1, then 40. What a gorgeous drive. The flower in the above picture is a Alberta Rose.
This is the spot where alot of people bring their horses and even covered wagons and go into the back country on horseback for maybe a couple days or a week or two.
The Rev and his wife..........
Here we are being silly as usual.............
I have no idea what kind of flower this was but it was beautiful........
What could be better......sitting around the campfire roasting wieners........
I have absolutely no idea what we were looking at but it must have been terribly interesting........
Another mountain flower......Julene showed me a feature that I didn't realize I had on my camera so I was trying it out.......
Trying to keep the fire going..........

It looks so inviting to be outdoors with you guys!
And the close-up pictures of all those flowers were amazing.
